HGV ban on the B166 Pass Gschütt Straße

Gmunden District Commission ordered an HGV ban for a roughly 18 kilometre long section on the B 166 Pass Gschütt Straße with its directive dated 12 July 2018.

According to this, HGVs with a gross vehicle weight of more than 3.5 tonnes may no longer travel on the B 166 Pass Gschütt Straße between kilometre 32.769 (Pass Gschütt border) and kilometre 50.700 (B 166/B 145 junction) in both directions in accordance with the corresponding signs from 1 August 2018.

Incoming and outgoing transport to the following municipalities are except from this:


  • Upper Austria: Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee, Bad Ischl, Ebensee am Traunsee, Gosau, Hallstatt, Obertraun, St. Wolfgang i.S., Steinbach am Attersee, Traunkirchen
  • Salzburg: Abtenau, Annaberg-Lungötz, Ebenau, Faistenau, Fuschl am See, Golling, Hintersee, Hof bei Salzburg, Hüttau, Rußbach am Paß Gschütt, St. Gilgen, St. Martin am Tennengebirge, Scheffau, Strobl
  • Styria: Altaussee, Bad Aussee, Bad Mitterndorf, Grundlsee, Stainach-Pürgg“


The following are also exempt from this:

 

  • road maintenance service vehicles, army vehicles, breakdown assistance vehicles, towing vehicles, public security services and vehicles used in the event of disasters.
  • Driving school vehicles during training and when examining candidates for driving licences.
